Q: Please state your name, age, location and title?

A: My name is Jill Gioia (Giglio), President of Queen Bean Music L.L.C. located in Long Island, New York.

Q: What do you do for a living?

A: I am a singer and songwriter along with my husband and pianist Carmine Giglio and my brother and co-lead vocalist Edward Pisano. We perform as The Jill Gioia Band. We play at weddings, performing art centers, clubs and corporate events as a 3 piece band up to 9 plus musicians.

Q: When and how did you start singing?

I grew up singing with my brother and my Dad and uncles. I loved listening to Barbara Streisand, Donna Summer and Janis Joplin... I would try and sound like them!

Q: What is your favorite memory?

A: Touring with The Trans-Siberian Orchestra is special in that it’s the reason I’m married to my husband. What an amazing feeling to sing in sold-out arenas across the United States and at the same time be able to share the experience with my husband, Carmine, who was playing keys on the tour.

Q: How did you find NAME Entertainers?

A: Iris Gillon of IGMC (Iris Gillon Music n' Celebrations), one of my agents.

Q: Why should a singer join NAME Entertainers?

A: Great rates! NAME is extremely personable. I know if I need a certificate or advice with an event, they are always there to help and fast!

Q: What are some of your claim to fame moments?

A: Singing lead for TSO. My very own “Jill Joy” boot that shoe designer Steve Madden made after I won his “Rock ’n Sole” original band search! Being a finalist on CBS’s “Rockstar Supernova” performing with Kelly Clarkson, Third Eye Blind, and it's always an honor and privilege to sing our national anthem at Madison Square Garden for the New York Rangers and the New York Knicks! Cool corporate events have included IBM, ESPN, Price Waterhouse, Coopers and more.

Q: What is it about singing that you love so much?

A: There is such a freedom in it and a reality escape. It’s like being on a vacation… seriously it’s my best way of communication, through song and melody. It just feels good and the connection that I feel and make with people and with audiences is indescribable. Just true joy and happiness when I can make a difference if even for a moment in someone’s life.

Q: What makes your songs unique?

A: My songs are like a fingerprint of my soul, no real rhyme or reason sometimes, but I can be quite unfiltered, shallow or deep.

Q: If you could give one piece of advice to budding singers, what would it be?

A: BELIEVE in yourself and push yourself to be the best that YOU can be. Dream and work hard. A little girl was at one of my shows and I brought her up onstage but she didn’t really know the lyrics of the song. But I could tell she wanted to sing and dance, so I asked her name and then I asked her if there was something different she wanted to sing. She was maybe 4 or 5 years old and very impressionable. I said what about the ABC’s? She sang the whole song and was so proud of herself and she just lit up! Everyone of course cheered for her. I got an email the next day from her mom who said the little girls dad didn’t want her to start kindergarten because she didn’t even know the alphabet and the little girl had overheard this. She said to her father, “Daddy, can I go to kindergarten now because I sang the ABC’s on stage to everyone last night?” and she showed him the video and he said yes of course you can! I will never forget that! It meant so much to me that she gained confidence in herself.

Q: How can people find you?
