Our Story

One year apart in age, we met in our early teens working for a neighborhood DJ company. We shopped for records at the same record stores and DJ’ed teen parties at local nightclubs. We shared three strong characteristics… our last names were coincidently similar (Panichi & Pennacchi)… our passion for DJ’ing… and our ambition to successfully orchestrate events.

We formed Extreme Rhythm DJ Entertainment nearly two decades ago. How do we know that? Well, our first event was to perform for the baptism of Emily, at what was then, the Oriental Manor. Emily is Giancarlo’s cousin, who is now almost 20 years old. We started with our first customers being family, and since, we have performed for many clients whom we like to consider family as well. Whether it’s working private events such as Weddings, Sweet 16’s or Corporate Events, our success speaks for itself and it goes beyond the talent of simply DJ’ing and Emceeing. It’s the personal care and attention to detail that goes into each individual event.

We understand that hosting an event is not a cheap, nor is it an easy feat. We empathize for the hard work and dedication you go through to be able to put together an event, and because of that, we push that much harder to ensure you and your guests have the most memorable event possible. With today’s technological advancements, everyone claims themselves a professional DJ. Performing together for almost two decades, we know what it takes to make your event a success. It is more than just playing music and speaking on a microphone. It is understanding that each and every event is unique and tailored to the specific details, requests and vibe you want us to create. The determination and professional skills we hone to deliver that, is something that can’t be taught.

One of the biggest turning points early in our career, was when we were approached to be bought out by a much larger company at the time. Intimidated, we contemplated the decision. Comply to their offer or strive for the unknown and continue forward? Scared of the unknown future, we respectfully turned the proposal down and looking back, it was the greatest move we ever made as a company. The second greatest move was bringing in Anthony Pepe and DJ Nick Romano. A veteran in the business, Anthony Pepe approached us, and we could not turn him down. Nick, reminds us, of us! His ambition and talent as a young DJ, is reminiscent of us when we were his age. They both emulate everything we have come to represent as a business and to our clients and we couldn’t be happier to have them be a part of our family.

In such a saturated industry, how did we manage two stay in business for almost two decades? It’s simple – Passion. With passion for what we do, comes customer satisfaction. We have evolved over the course of time simply by word of mouth. No fancy slogans or marketing to trick our clients into booking us… we simply let our talent do the work. While social media has shed a whole knew light on our business, it’s the personal ‘word of mouth’ referrals that continue to grow our business. Aside from performing throughout the greater New York City area, we have been flown to beautiful destinations such as Sicily, Aruba and Mexico to perform weddings.

We are often asked, “How much longer will you continue to work weekends and perform events?”… Our answer is- as long as we can! Our success, and the reason why we do what we do, is simply due to the passion we have for it. We love what we do! Seeing the pure joy of our clients, and their guests, during and after their event, is our gratification. For that, we are booking well into the future and showing no signs of slowing up.
